Amir Ramsis’ A Nose And Three Eyes To World Premiere At 3rd Rsiff

01 Dec 2023

Amir Ramsis’s highly-anticipated Egyptian drama A NOSE AND THREE EYES will be getting its world premiere at the third edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) as part of the festival’s Arab Spectacular program.

The festival is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will be running from November 30th to December 9th.

The film is a modern adaptation of Ihsan Abdel-Quddous’ novel of the same name, which was first made into a feature film in 1972. Lagoonie Film Production, in association with Rise Studios, is expected to release it later this year with high hopes for critical acclaim.

A NOSE AND THREE EYES follows Doctor Hashem — a renowned plastic surgeon in his mid-40s who remains single despite having been in two long-term relationships before.

However, when he meets Ruba — a woman who is 25 years his junior — he finds himself unable to resist her charms and allure despite the age gap.

Directed by Amir Ramsis and written for the screen by Wael Hamdy, A NOSE AND THREE EYES boasts an ensemble cast that includes Dhaffer L’Abidine, Saba Mubarak, Salma Abudeif, Sedky Sakhr, Gihan El-Shamashergy, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Nabil Maher, and Selim Mostafa — the child celebrity who won audiences’ hearts in the role of Younis in WHY NOT? — as well as Amina Khalil, who will be appearing as a guest of honor.

The RSIFF’s Arab Spectacular Program aims to highlight the most important, modern cinematic projects from all over the Arab world, as well as celebrate and spotlight filmmakers, veteran, and promising directors, and pioneers of Arab cinema from all over the region.
